Energy therapies utilize the theories and approaches of ancient healing arts that have been perfected over many, many centuries. The principles of these ancient practices are based in the premise that the healthy flow of life energies within the body, through maintaining chemical, mental and physiological balance are the key to sustained health and longevity. Hypnosis ($125)Hypnosis is a process that allows a client to move themselves into a deep state of relaxation. During this state of relaxation, the mind's critical factor becomes passive and the other-than-conscious mind assumes greater activity. During this relaxed state, new information may surgace and become the catalyst for change. This 'forgotten' knowledge may illuminate solutiosn that the client can apply themselves to in the daily state of awareness. The client will only accept and respond to suggestions that are in accordance with the ethics, morals and principles to which they already adhere. Essentially all hypnosis is self-hypnosis using a guide to direct the client toward their goals. The experience of the hypnotic state is similar to the moments before waking and sleeping, the engrossing depths of focused creative activity, the ‘runner’s high’ and the meditative state. Steam Tent ($1 per minute, 10-minute minimum)Enhance your relaxation before event getting on the table with some steam tent time. The steam assists in relaxing sore tired muscles, relieving aches and pains, and allowing your pores to open and release toxins from your system. The steam is light, thus allowing you to comfortably relax while receiving the benefits of steam and herbs. A variety of herbs or essential oils can be added to the steam for a variety of benefits. Plain steam can be requested as well. Please schedule this tent time along with your massages so adequate time is prepared for you. Thai Herbal Hot Stem Body Treatment ($115)A blend of many herbs including Plai, Ginger, Tumeric and Cumen are wrapped in unbleached cotton and hand tied to a stem. The Luk Pa Kob (Thai Body Stem) has been used for many centuries in Thailand as a medical hot compress to relive aches and pains of the body. It softens and nourishes the skin by exfoliation, while relieving painful inflammations as it soothes the underlying connective tissue. This treatment combines traditional Thai movements with deep pressure to release blocked energy, increasing awareness and vitality.
