CHRISTINE BAILOR, RN, LMT, CSI, CIPI

Christine Bailor, is the owner of The Body Essential, with her office located in Williamsville, New York.  She has been working full-time as a massage therapist since 2000, when she placed her full-time nursing career aside to pursue another healing art.  She is a Registered Professional Nurse and a Licensed Massage Therapist.  She graduated from Sisters’ Hospital School of Nursing in 1985, and the New York Institute of Massage in 1999.  She continued her education at St. Joseph’s College in Windham, Maine in Health Care Administration, and the CORE Institute in Tallahassee, Florida. She is also a Certified Injury Prevention Instructor for Continung Education.

The main focus of her work is Structural Integration and Myofascial Therapy.  As one of only two CORE Certified Stuctural Integrative Therapists in the Western New York area, she provides her clients with a specialized treatment regime, combining her skills to obtain maximum benefit from her work.  She is also a certified Hypnotherapist, and practices Thai Stem Massage, CranioSacral Therapy, Reiki, Huna, Pre-natal & Post-partum, as well as Infant Massage Instruction, Aromatouch, and Spa Body Wrap services. She has been a member of the faculty at the New York Institute of Massage , and has qualified as a TA for the Upledger Institute and the CORE Institute.  Her clientele has a varying base, which includes Physicians, Professional Athletes, Dentists, Chiropractors, Nurses, CEOs, Therapists, Educators, and a vast number of individuals from a variety of professions and settings.  Christine, along with her staff of Licensed massage therapists, strive to remain at the forefront of the massage therapy and bodywork world, and always bring their clients the best in health and wellness services in the Western new York region. She is a Certified Injury Prevention Instructor with Save Your Hands and provides CEU programs to massage therapists and bodyworkers. She has been an active member of BNI, Business Network International, where she has served as President, Membership Committee, Visitor Host, Mentor Coordinator and an Area Director, over several years.  She is  an active member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals,AMTA, National Association of Nurse Massage Therapists, where she is currently serving as Secretary for the National Board of Directors, the International Association of Structural Integrators, and the American Holistic Nurses Association.  Ones’ personal responsibility is something Christine values highly, and this is evident in her work, as she encourages her clients to explore what their bodies are saying to them and to discover the why behind it all, as we are responsible for our dis-ease as well as our healing.

WENDY LANE, MSW, LMT (Independent Practitioner@ The Body Essential)

A native Western New Yorker, Wendy began her career of caring for others as a Medical Social Worker, primarily working with cancer patients.  Utilizing visual imagery and progressive muscle relaxation in her work, she became interested in the healing power of the mind as well as the body.  The desire to work with the body in a healing capacity, led her to attend and graduate from the Onondaga School of Therapeutic massage, in Rochester New York, in 2002.  She has been working as a massage therapist ever since and loves her work.

Wendy draws from a variety of treatment approaches including; Myofascial Release, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Integrative Reflexology,  Reiki, CranioSacral Therapy, Aromatherapy, Spa Body Wrap services, and Warm Silk massage.  With her experience and training, she can address a variety of issues from stress reduction and relaxation, to chronic pain relief.Wendy is an active member of ABMP, Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.  The goal of Wendy’s work is to decrease pain and increase function within the body.

BETH BERGMANN, LMT (Independent Practitioner @ The Body Essential)

Beth is a graduate of the New York Institute of Massage and has been in practice since 2004. She practices trigger point therapy, swedish, deep tissue, craniosacral, stretching myofascial release and segment reflex massage and uses all of this training during your treatment program. As well as her massage therapy education Beth has continued to study with the Upledger Institute: CrainoSacral I, John Barnes: Myofascial Release and Dr. Ross Turchaninov: Segment-Reflex Massage.

Beth's  approach is to collaborate with her clients to allow them to take responsibility for their own health.  With an appreciation for how the body works, and the power of massage to heal the body without resorting to drugs or surgery, she blends her training in Swedish Massage, Acupressure, Deep Tissue and  MyoFascial Release,  to come up with a unique experience designed to fit the needs of the individual.  Massage is able to help an individual exercise a proactive role in dealing with their issues, be they stress, a chronic muscular problem such as carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatic pain, headaches or tight muscles, or merely to bring relaxation and wholeness back into everyday living. An active member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, Beth is excited to be practicing at the Body Essential.

Susan Sullivan

SUSAN SULLIVAN, LMT (Independent Practitioner @ The Body Essential)

Susan has been a licensed massage therapist since 1997. She left her Accounting career to pursue a more holistic approach to health, and found her passion for Massage Therapy. She attended the New York Institute of Massage, and began her private practice in Rochester, NY as one of the founders of Brighton Massage Therapy Associates. For the last seven years, she has been working with Greater Rochester Chiropractic.

Susan has also been an Instructor at the New York Institute of Massage since 1999, where she teaches Swedish Massage, Shiatsu, Medical Massage, and Massage Modalities.

Susan now resides in the Buffalo area and is very excited about beginning her practice at The Body Essential. She integrates a variety of techniques in her treatments, relative to the individual client’s needs. A session may include Swedish Massage, Medical Massage, Myofascial techniques, and Aromatherapy. Susan also offers Shiatsu, an acupressure technique that balances the body’s inner energies to improve circulation, relieve stiff muscles, and alleviate stress. She has done additional study in Lymph Drainage Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, and Reiki.

Lisa Leone

LISA LEONE, LICENSED ESTHETICIAN (Independent Practitioner @ The Body Essential)

Graduating at the top of her class, Lisa is a 2010 graduate of the Salon Professional Academy in Esthetics. She specializes in facials, waxing, body treatments and make-up. She is also a graduate of Edutech School of Massage in Clearwater, Florida. Drawing upon her combined skills, Lisa provides each client with a treatment customized to their individual neds.

Through years of experience in customer relations, Lisa has cultivated her own natural ability to connect with others. Whether you are looking to educate yourself on how to achieve and maintain healthy skin or just desire to relax and rejuvenate, your time with her is your chance to escape the stress of everyday life. KATHLEEN BOLDT, B.Mus. B.Ed. CH (Independent Consultant @ The Body Essential)

Canadian by birth, currently residing in Buffalo, NY, Kathleen is a life-long sensitive, experiencing and expressing empathic and intuitive abilities through her commitment to assist others with their continued spiritual development. She is an Ordained “Minister of Spiritual Healing and Prophecy” as well as a “Certified Metaphysician” through the Fellowships of the Spirit, NY. Trained in :Spiritual Counseling and Hypnosis” by Dick Sutphen, Kathleen assists clients in understanding and transforming their lives through techniques which include Past-Life Regression, Soul Retrieval, and Spirit Communication. As an Independent Product Consultant for doTERRA® CPTG® Essential Oils, Kathleen directs clients to beneficial oils for physical health and emotional and spiritual well-being. When not engaged in metaphysical or spiritual activities, she can be found experimenting with oils applications, working on the next art project, or enjoying quality time with her husband, family, and friends.

Amanda Yensan

AMANDA YENSAN, Licensed Esthetician and Makeup Artist (Independent Consultant @ The Body Essential)

Amanda Yensan graduated from The Salon Professional Academy in Esthetics, with a specialization in makeup as well as facials, waxing, and body treatments. She has done makeup for photo shoots for local Buffalo fashion designers, wedding parties, prom attendees, birthday party guests, and day-to-day looks on friends and family. Amanda loves working with people and always listens to each person’s needs and wants. She finds that working with children over the last three years has given her an insight into teaching, which allows her to effectively instruct her clients in proper makeup application and skin care techniques. She is very free-spirited and positive, believing that everyone is beautiful in their own way and all that is needed is to bring that beauty out and feel confident in yourself! She loves helping people feel relaxed and pampered. Amanda wants to make everyone feel as gorgeous on the outside as they do on the inside.

SANDRA WILLIAMS GORDON, LMT (Independent Consultant @ The Body Essential)

with a background in dance/theater, music, sports and mind-body therapies, Sandra began her studies in massage therapy in NYC 26 years ago. Since moving to Buffalo in 1989, Sandra has had the pleasure to work with local hospitals, businesses, colleges and universities, including teaching workshops at the post graduate level in MFR and worksite wellness, and being an special evaluator with Empire State College.

Sandra has been a Special Faculty Presenter for the AAOHN (American Association of Occupational Health Nurses) for two national conferences in self care and self massage for worksite wellness programs. Sandra's focus for her practice is injury prevention/rehab, chronic pain prevention and management, stress education and self care, TMJ and general well being. Utilizing techniques such as myofascial release, cranio sacral therapy, kinesiotaping, strain-counterstrain, deep tissue, sports massage, medical massage, body-mind integration and self care/self massage, Sandra works in tandem with her clients, carefully listening to concerns and goals - then chooses the therapy that would best meet their needs.
