Hypnosis is a process that allows a client to move themselves into a deep state of relaxation. During this state of relaxation, the mind's critical factor becomes passive and the other-than-conscious mind assumes greater activity. During this relaxed state, the hypnotist makes suggestions that will assist client performance and/or perception during the waking state. The hypnotist may also call forward information that the client wishes to know--forgotten knowledge that when brought forward illuminates solutions for the highest and best client actions in waking state. The client will only accept and respond to suggestions that are in accordance with the ethics, morals and principles to which they already adhere. The experience of the hypnotic state is similar to the moments before waking and sleeping, the engrossing depths of focused creative activity, the ‘runner’s high’ and the meditative state. Upon awakening from hypnosis, clients often experience a feeling of being relaxed, refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to take the personal responsibility that will transform their lives. The hypnosis process is helpful in a variety of applications, including: Progressive Applications (a.k.a. Clinical Hypnosis)
Illuminitive Applications (a.k.a. Spiritual Hypnosis)

Says Olympic athlete Shannon Bahkre: “Having that good plan, getting a good visualization of where you’re at, being aware of negative self-talk, and giving yourself positive affirmations-I worked on a lot of those things, but in my heart and soul I didn’t believe it,” she says. “That’s where my hypnotherapist came into play.” |
